MONOCRYL Plus ist ein monofiles Material, das IRGACARE MP, die reinste Form von TRICLOSAN, enthält und somit eine Hemmzone gegen die häufigsten gram-positiven und gram-negativen Erreger postoperativer Wundinfektionen bildet. Der violette Faden behält nach sieben Tagen noch 60% seiner Ausgangsreißkraft, die nach 28 Tagen auf null sinkt. Die Materialresorption ist nach ca. 90–120 Tagen abgeschlossen. Indikationsgebiete: Gastro-Intestinal-Chirurgie (z. B. Anastomosen und Peritoneum), Urologie und Gynäkologie. Reißkraftprofil: 60 % 7 Tage, 0 % 28 Tage. Resorptionszeit: ca. 90-120 Tage. Nadeltyp: 1/2 Kreis Rundkörper flach 22 mm.
